Terms of Service

By creating a Murmur account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for everything recorded or shared from your account.

Your content

Your recordings are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, transcribe and deliver them to the friends you choose to send them to.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

You may not record or send content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, threatening, deceptive, or that infringes someone else's rights. Every recording you receive can be reported in-app, and any sender can be blocked in one tap. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours; offending content is removed and the accounts responsible are ejected.

Sharing

A recording is private until you send it. Once you send it to a friend, they can listen to it and read its transcript. Only send to people you trust.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from You → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms.

No warranty

Murmur is provided "as is". We do our best to keep your recordings safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss to the extent permitted by law.
